That first season after Gunther, Hutch grumbled as usual, but only for Starsky's amusement. He brought everything Starsky wished for, from dreidels, to lighted windows, to a tree decorated within an inch of its life.
On Christmas Eve, he stood at the window, listening as bells rang from nearby churches. He searched the sky for a glimpse of stars, but they were difficult to see.
